Michel de Hey

Michel de Hey is one of the most authoritative and influential dj's in the Netherlands. From his hometown Rotterdam Michel has opened the doors to techno and tech house for a more general public. Due to his strong performances in clubs, parties and festivals Michel gained a strong reputation inside and outside the Netherlands. His career started in 1986 in a small club in Rotterdam. In 1992 his name started to rise with his release "Break". With this record he reached the top 10 of the US billboard Dance Charts. As from then Michel created his funky techno sound to what it is now. Michel has been nominated and won different Dance awards for best Techno dj. He has worked on various compilation projects. The major ones are: the 'Essential Elements' series (EDM), the 'Technological Elements' series (EDM), Dance Valley on Ibiza' (Influx) 'Dance Valley Main stage Edition' 'Syntec' (EC). MDH 01 for Trust the dj and his last project called 'Two Faces'.

Barem

Mauricio Barembuem (aka Barem) perfectly personifies the new breed of electronic musician who has grown up in the digital age, using intuitive software programs like Reason and Ableton to spontaneously express ideas and emotions.. He released the Kleine EP on the free net label Unfoundsound in July 2005 not really knowing what to expect but something clicked, with the track Suki in particular (rereleased on vinyl by Phonocult two years later) grabbing the attention of many well known DJs. Then at the end of 2007, the release of his superb debut EP for Minus - Never Better Than Late – really cemented his strong personal and artistic connection with the label, representing another major achievement in his short but intense journey so far. Listening to the Minus EP, it's clear he concentrates most energy into creating the powerful basslines that define his sound. His expansive use of reverb and delay on tracks like Then They… and So Serial creates a massive space for the subtle percussive elements to skip and snake while distant, sometimes eerie melodies often occur on a random, secondary level as a result of these interacting elements. For Barem, the bottom line is to keep things simple and stay true to the old school minimalist approach that first got him hooked.

Gaiser

Following a string of finely crafted releases on Minus and Resopal (as Fraktion), Gaiser has rapidly become one of the most exciting and sought after producers of his generation.. He'd grown up listening to punk and played drums in a few different punk bands but around the age of 14, he attended a techno event for the first time. Richie Hawtin was at the controls and Jon was completely blown away by the energy of the music and fascinated by the originality of the sounds being used. His natural energy and rhythm are clearly responsible for the irresistible drum patterns that drive his productions forward but it's also the subtleties - the delicate melodies and dramatic changes in atmosphere that give his sound such a distinctive edge. Music has always been in his blood, his early punk rock exploits counter-balanced by the more considered approach needed to learn piano and symphonic percussion and by drawing on these earlier experiences, he has avoided the genre's more self-referential clichés. On top of his prolific studio output, Gaiser has spent much of 2006 touring Europe, the US and Japan, and 2007 promises to be even busier as demand for his live set grows. What stands out about his performances is his ability to make an immediate connection with the audience, soaking up the vibe and playing according to their reactions. He's a musician who lives off his instincts, channeling his moods and emotions directly into his computer, translating new experiences and sensations into sound. There simply is no other way.

Paco Osuna

Paco Osuna is probably the most renowed Spanish DJ and producer in the international arena at the present time. He is the first to publish his music in both labels of the man of the moment, Richie Hawtin (Plus 8 and M_nus). Osuna delivers -not always, since his harder output still has many fans- a low rev, repetitive, harsh, mental techno, which owes more to nineties Detroit (melodic, but mechanical and square) or to Maurizio's Berlin (deep and cold), to the colorful Cologne sound or to the usually dull minimal techno of todayl. in 1999 Osuna was has hired at Ibiza's Amnesia, where he opened for the top international DJs and borrowed from them until he build up his own style. Amnesia was also the place where he met the person who soon was to be his most important future influence, both at a professional and a personal level: Sven Väth. In 2001 Paco Osuna became part of Cocoon booking agency. At that time, he had many 12" in different labels: Serial Killer, Mórbido, Real State... In 2005 he joined a new and ambitious project, ZENbooking (www.zenbooking.com), the booking and management agency that's still his home (and is also the home of Marco Carola, M.A.N.D.Y. and Davide Squillace, among many others)

Matthias Tanzmann

From the beginning Matthias's musical output has revolved around more than just functional club music, regardless of whether it's on the turntables or in the studio. Combining subtle arrangements that ride the deep vibes that lie between House and Techno, yet never forgetting the drive for the dance floor- that is what Matthias Tanzmann's music is about. It is not only music that plays an important role in Matthias Tanzmann's life. In Weimar he studied media design at Bauhaus University. This was a creative extension to his work in Gamat 3000 and his profile as a solo artist. By 2007 he had released numerous EPs, three mix compilations and remixed tracks by Moby, Wighnomy Bros., Freestyle Man, Marlow, Terry Lee Brown Jr. and Dapayk & Padberg. Collaboration with other artists is also very important for Matthias. Together with Steve Bug and Daniel Stefanik, he has produced various EPs, drawing inspiration from the new dynamics and sounds that the collaborative process can create. While over the years his tracks have developed from classical Deep House with a European edge, through to Minimal House bordering on ambitious Techno, groove and deepness were and still are the essential elements of Matthias Tanzmann's music.

Benny Rodrigues

Robert Babicz

With the rise of acid house influenced records dominating the charts, Babicz was able to ride high on this new wave of club culture. In addition to becoming an in demand live performer using one of his other names, Acid Warrior, Babicz started to release singles on high profile imprints like Kompakt, Treibstoff and Steve Bug's Audiomatique, as well as his own label, Junkfood. In what Rob appropriately dubs "the rave years" in the mid-nineties, he was already playing all over the world. During this time Babicz teamed up with Mate Galic and psychedelic sonic experiences of every kind followed, which as Rob himself sums up perfectly came as a result of "excessive sound-research and absurd parties, transistor radio and porn films on big screen". His affiliation with Force Inc a few years later brought a series of more experimental, less dancefloor-orientated works which suggested his theoretical musique concrete roots. By the turn of the new millennium, Babicz was striving for a different sound and thus began a new label, Shortcut. Babicz has more than proven his worth in the world of dance music and his right to the title of pioneer and innovator, whether producing tech house, minimal or acid techno. With the release of Immortal Changes in early 2010, described by DJ Mag as a "marriage of organic groove and glistening electronic melodies" and the imminent launch of his own record label, BABICZSTYLE, it is clear that Robert Babicz still has much more to give...

Margaret Dygas

Life as Margaret has experienced it has had more than it's fair share of unusual twists and turns, she quips about life in a very positive light 'Never a dull moment!' With a childhood that began in Poland, at aged 11 she escaped to Germany with her family eventually moving to the States, initially to San Jose, California. In the late eighties the music she was surrounded by and adhered to was old school hip hop; there were house parties every weekend and lots of chillin' in the backyard. Her discovery of house music started in New York in the early nineties when she moved to study fashion at the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology. Before long her college friends had introduced her to the whirlwind underground club scene; the flamboyant gay clubs where vogueing was all the rage, dressed up club kids, intimate basement techno nights, jungle gatherings and scores of insane house parties.

Danny Howells

There are very few DJs who stand out in the world of dance music today, but Danny Howells is without doubt one of them. From his early years of DJing at Bedrock nights in his home town of Hastings, to the 10+ hour sets in New York today, one thing remains the same - a complete love of all music. It's this passion and plenty of hard work that has helped Danny to get where he is today. It's no coincidence that he's been placed in DJ Magazine's top 20 DJs in the world for the last 3 years. Danny has a unique, eclectic sound which as been described as "deepsexyfuturistictechfunkhouse" and it's this sound which which is shaking floors worldwide.

Wouter de Moor

Wouter de Moor was born in 1984 and grew up in Soest, the Netherlands. At the age of 15 he started mixing cd's at the local hockey club and school party's. After visiting one of Holland's largest indoor parties, Impulz, Wouter was inspired to start spinning techno. Starting off as a bedroom Dj, he developed his talent to the extent that it became apparent to the people around him that he was serious about becoming a professional Dj. He later won several national Dj-contests and played at some local parties. In May 2004 Wouter was a contestant at a dj contest held in one of Amsterdam's most popular dj cafe's, TWSTD, and it was there that the management of Freshtechno.com bookings discovered his talent and decided to take him under their wing. His record choice, and technical ability stood out from the other dj's who performed at this contest. Soon after, he was given the chance to play at Technoscope, an event organized by Freshtechno.com in club Zyon, Amsterdam. He absolutely rocked the dance floor and the agency immediately gave him a weekly residency. Playing alongside artists such as the Advent, Joey Beltram, Danilo Vigorito, Rino Cerrone, Joel Mull, Green Velvet, Marco Carola, Preach, Gaetano Parisio, Oliver Ho, Pacou and many others, he proved to be a very promising upcoming talent.

Paul Hazendonk

Paul Hazendonk was born in the suburbs of Rotterdam in 1982. As a young kid he already developed an excessive interest for music, quickly discovering house music and noticing the deejays who were mixing records together. He found his passion.. Having always been a DJ first and a producer second, it took some time before Paul got busy in the studio, but in the last couple of years his name as a producer is getting more and more known globally, after having done releases on respected labels such as Diynamic Music, Sleaze Records, Little Mountain Recordings, on his own labels Manual Music, Stolen Moments and Melomane + many others.

Olene Kadar

The Sugar Factory and Studio 80 in Amsterdam.

Taras van der Voorde

Taras is your typical citizen of Rotterdam. People who are not afraid to do things slightly different. As goes for the architecture of Rotterdam, Taras is always looking for new ways to find an innovative sound. This didn't go unnoticed by the house en technoscene. Over the last years he has built up his (inter)national reputation by playing at the major clubs and festivals in Europe. Awakenings, Dancevalley, Paradiso, Club 11, Doornroosje, Barcelona (Raum), Londen (The Egg), Antwerpen (Cafe d'Anvers) and Milaan to name a few. His setsare very different from your average DJ. You only have to witness the queues of enthousiasts in front of the Catwalk in Rotterdam where he held long-term residencies. Especially on his long sets. Mellowing his style as times goes by, getting more experimental and spacious with a fresh style of his own. It's clear that Taras is has made his name in the music scene and his is ready for the next step.

Estroe

Brett johnson. He is been working in the studio as well with some future releases plannend for the year of 2011.

Eelke Kleijn

Eelke's life has always been intrigued by modern technology. But his biggest passion however is, without a doubt, music. It is difficult to describe Eelke's sound in a few words though. "I am easily bored with music, I don't like recycling sounds and ideas all the time", he explains. His almost trancy cooperations with fellow Dutchman C-Jay indeed are very different from the dark and twisted grooves he has produced with Nick Hogendoorn and again different from the ambient and chilled-out songs he has written himself. "As with my DJ sets, I need variety in order to remain interested in what I'm doing. Producing different styles is almost like a way to express the different moods I'm in". The recent signing of '"Walkabout" on Ork Recordings with Nick is a perfect example, receiving critical acclaim from artists as diverse as Fish Go Deep, Nic Fanciulli and Anthony Pappa. Outside the Box Music, Eelke's label launched in 2006 and part of the Groovecollection Music Management, reflects his taste in music like nothing else, with releases varying from techno-edged minimal to funky progressive house.

Nuno dos Santos

On the eve of the Amsterdam Dance Event, Nuno Dos Santos received the Release (formerly the Dutch DJ) Dance Award in the Amsterdam Escape. He was named 'a worthy successor to Joris Voorn, who won the award in the previous two years'. Dos Santos' passion for music and different styles keeps him far from being a constrainted DJ. His sets vary from deephouse, tech-house, electro, breakbeats to acid, minimal & techno

Unders

An uplifting blend of electronic clicks and cuts that glides along the path of minimal deep, full spectrum, techy house music. Arjuna Schiks

Arjuna was born and raised in Amsterdam. With parents who own a New Age shop, Arjuna was always surrounded by New Age, Meditation and world music. The first time he got really inspired was at the age of 8 when he heard the ambient record 'Sounds of the Heart'. At the age of 15 he really started to go to proper dance events. Artists like Anthony Rother, Orbital, Richie Hawtin and Johannes Heil were the last push to start a career as a producer and triggered the melodic sounds in all his music. Throughout the years he made all different kinds of tracks. His style varies between ambient, tech-house, electro and even modern classical (film) music. His sound is characterized by a very melodic and mainly warm electronic vibe. During his steamy sets he will take you on into a dreamy yet energetic level. Richie Hawtin versus Ambient and Johannes Heil versus Philip Glass. This is Arjuna Schiks.

Terry Toner

Terry Toner is a young and energetic DJ, producer and remixer - at the moment one of the main underground house talents in the Dutch electronic music scene. In spite of his young age he accomplished a lot and dj-ed alongside alltime heroes like; Jeff Mills, Fat Boy Slim, Sander Kleinenberg, Tiefschwarz, Tiga, Plump Djs, Dave Clarke and a lot more. Terry got infected by electronic music at the young age of 10, when his nephew introduced him to the early nineties German rave sound. He was instantly hooked and there was no way back. It took him five more years to actually visit his first rave and see dj's play in real life. This experience had such an impact on him that he bought his first turntables and aspired to become a DJ himself. His first proper break came 4 years ago when ElectroNations Roy Avni recognized this young talent after receiving a mix tape of the 19-year-old Terry which he made with his high school buddy Arter. Due to the overwhelming amount of reactions after their first gig they were given a monthly residency in Club Winston in Amsterdam. From this moment on, everything went skyhigh. He became one of Electronation's main residents and joined their organization. Through ElectroNation, Terry has gained lots of respect and developed his style to what it is today. His sound flows through all levels of house, laced with jackin' grooves, tech-styled beats and electroflavoured synths. This combined with his love for oldskool acid gives him his energetic and uplifting sound.

Steve Rachmad

Nowadays, Steve Rachmad is globally known as a techno producer and DJ from the Netherlands. Over the years, he has been respected in the world of electronic music for his deep, groovy sounds that tend to rest on impressive strings, melodies, funk and soul. His career has been reaching its highest peaks from 1996 up to the present time. Yet, it is somewhat less known that he has been in the music for 21 years by now.

Fooligans

Darko esser

Darko Esser has more then 15 years of experience in the bag and has played all over Europe in world famous clubs such as Berghain & Panoramabar, Rex, Tresor, 11, House Of God and off course his homebase Doornroosje. His sound is versatile and strongly depends on the setting and atmosphere of that particular moment. One could say that his sound is strongly settles on the crossing borders between house & techno, but don't be surprised if he takes a sideway into broken beat, dubstep, electronics or the undiscribable.

Sander Kleinenberg

Who Is Sander Kleinenberg, you ask? The answer is simple, though the man behind it is not. He commands respect as a prolific producer and international touring DJ where among the music elite, Sander is regarded as one of the best in his craft. The Winter Music Conference voters also named him European DJ of the year for 2006 and Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson call him for remixes. This Is his world and you are dancing in it.

Sander Kleinenberg

Ivan Mark

Ivan's passion for music began in 1980. At that time it was recording with 'old fashion cassettes'. In 1997 he did buy professional Deejay equipment and in 1998 his career started at Beachclub Mecca (Scheveningen - The Netherlands). Beach club Mecca was ones set up and property by Dinand Woesthoff, the singer of the famous Dutch band 'Kane'. The beach club was organized as lounge club with an inconceivable quantity of old worn-out sofa's and cushions. From the speakers you could hear heavy sounds of the latest underground music. How can you describe Ivans "style"? I only can say that it's not possible to put him in a typical place. Ivan got his own style. When he plays his deep sexy sounds, your body starts to move and put you in a high atmosphere. The music goes from African - Latin beats to sexy percussion sounds and up whipping Funky deep House. Ivan know how 'to play' with the crowd.

Steve Bug

Germany's very own taste-maker, trend-setter, mover-shakerextraordinaire Steve Bug is a multi-faceted artist who refuses to back down from the limelight. A dedicated, energetic and constantly surprising talent, Steve is nothing less than an electronic music ambassador, a much-loved spokesman to the people, and for good reason. Growing Up' in Germany's techno and acid-house heyday, Steve Bug's love for a perfect groove is as apparent now as it was back then. From the very early days DJjing in Bremen and Hamburg it was clear there was a strong talent waiting to be nurtured. With a bit of encouragement from Superstition's Tobias Lampe, Steve's very first productions were released in 1993 and his musical story began. Besides this his DJ skills and keen, innovative, ear led him not down the typical path of the early nineties trance and harder dance scene, but towards a fresher, hybrid sound merging stripped deep house, tweaked out acid and more minimal forms of techno.

John Talabot

John Talabot is a youngster from Barcelona with a rather special way of approaching music. Borrowing his school's name for his alias and the most diverse samples for his music, he produces expansive and iconoclastic housey tracks. His influences range from flamenco to nouthern soul, from African music to traditional Asian songs and he's inspiration sources go from the profound and sensual house of Moodyman and labels such as Sound Signature or KDJ to Disco music, Chicago House, Pop or Techno, whatever he likes. Sounds like "a bass kick and a sampler", he says; nothing less. This young producer and tireless musical tracker has the ability not just to find the appropriate samples but also to conjugate them wisely. In a great exercise of sonic inventiveness, guitars, strings and keyboards are combined in his tracks with rhythms and vocals with African reminiscences, to give us his own vision of house music; original and personal, but yet very effective. Cliché-allergic, songs like "Naomi", "Korlee" or "Afrika" sound cosmic and tremendously emotional without losing sight of the dance floor (that's what we call fat beats). His tracks are organic, human, full of life, the kind of music that keeps not only your foot moving but also your heart tingling.

Hilbert Stoon

Hilbert is a person who's interests in electronic music is reflected in everything he does. After collecting records for quite some years he started to develop his own sound with contemporary electronic house Music.
